May Flowers

We have been busy! The end of the school year is near and with it a slew of concerts, ceremonies, potlucks and events. Saturday morning had us out at Camp Butler National Cemetery for the traditional flag posting by the Scouts (BSA). The rest of the weekend is for family and we are visiting Ainsworth Confections in Missouri enjoying some delicious baked goodies. Next week, it’s back to the grind supporting the bees in making lots of honey this year.

The bees are keeping us even busier. We’ve had to raise queens, manage swarms, make nucs (nucleus colonies), set up our honey supers, and, most importantly, comb honey supers!

We’re planning on having some comb honey available in a couple months, once the bees have capped their harvest.
